Hi, I’m Nicky Blackwell. Welcome to Studio Blackwell.
At Studio Blackwell we are driven by a passion for fabric and the style and comfort they bring to your living spaces. We work collaboratively with you to bring the pictures in your mind to life, leaving you with custom-made soft furnishings in your home that delight you every day.
Your curtains, blinds and soft furnishings will be designed and made in our lovely barn situated 20 minutes north of Cheltenham on the boundary of the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills. There’s so much inspiration to be taken from the exquisite natural surroundings here, and (if possible) we’d love you to pay us a visit.

A brief introduction
I trained and worked as a nurse and midwife for twenty years, but have always loved design, sewing and creative work with textiles. In 2013 I took the plunge and embraced a fulltime career designing and making curtains, blinds and accessories.
From the beginning I wanted to offer a bespoke service, helping you to choose the perfect fabrics and design the best soft furnishing solutions for your indoor and outdoor living spaces.
I understand that dressing your home is a personal process and an expression of your own creativity, taste and style. I therefore treat every commission as completely unique, visiting your home with a collection of sample books to peruse together, inviting you to The Haberdashery for further inspiration, attentively listening to your thoughts and plans, then tailoring the work to meet your specific needs.
